So, it's been a really long time - months, in fact.
I've found myself spending the last few weeks in a major burst of spring cleaning, most of it focused on my craft/sewing room. Honestly, the space had turned into a pit of iniquity, a burying ground for everything I wanted hidden away, or otherwise out of mind.
I decided to take a drastic step - I'm reclaiming the space and repurposing the room. I've moved my sewing desk into the living room. The cabinets will still hold my fabric and yarns, but the center of the room is going to be more of a study, a place to relax. My sewing table is now in front of a window with a view of the street.
No, no pictures. Isn't it enough that I've written something?
Ironically, or perhaps not, all of this change and revamping has made me want to sew. Although its also made me want to continue the downsizing process, as I have a much more realistic perspective on my needs vs. wants.
Maybe, just maybe, I'll be posting again soon. This is more of a test-the-waters post than anything else, a warm up.
Happy spring, everyone!
