reverie

On Friday, I dreamed ... I was picking up stitches for the second sleeve of my sweater. The dream turned sour as I forgot the pattern, mistook broken rib for moss stitch, and forgot which cables went where.

On Saturday, I dreamed again. This time things looked better, and I worked through my charts and notes, looked at my previous knitting, and the situation improved.

By Sunday night, the dream continued to be happy - no nightmares, major glitches, or even it seems, any gauge issues.

Rve2

And on Monday morning, I awoke to find that the wool fairy had indeed visited, the blob formerly known as a UFO was starting to look like something ... almost but not quite wearable.

Rve3

(She still hasn't picked up her neckline stitches and finished the neck opening. For shame.)

So, with luck the sweet dreams will continue this week.

Rve4

Because there really isn't all that much more to go.

whoohoo! can't wait to see your dreams in person :-)

She's looking good.

That is looking very good indeed. It is. Lovely colour. And the Turbulence pullover looks wonderful. I have the book, I wonder if I have the wool... I haven't got the time! At least not now :-(

Yea! It looks beautiful!

It takes a lot to upstage that sweater but the quilt managed it, it even has a cable of its own. Lovely work (both items)

Your sweater (and the few I'm packing) make me almost wish for chilly weather at Rhinebeck. Can't wait to be there with all of you. Talk about dream...it's a dream come true!!

Sweet dreams indeed. She looks wonderful.

Looking good! Nice color, too.

you are amazing! and celtic dreams looks fantastic. :)

Just don't say the "R" word in front of the sweater and you should be all set.

that is soooooo lovely!

Beautiful sweater. A two-year project for me, easy, so it's nice to see someone making it look fairly simple.

That's looking good. Did you crop it?

I, for my part, will dream of chilly weather in Rhinebeck so you can wear it. It looks beautiful.

This sweater is on my list!! It's lovely. Looks like Rhinebeck will be cool enough to wear such a beautiful sweater.Blue Faced Leicester makes such great cables.

Looks great! I'm a little jealous of everyone going to Rhinebeck, (I actually just got brave and asked what it was last week.) especially since it's almost too cold here in Saskatoon to wear a sweater unless it's under your parka. I am almost ready to attack a cable project, having been busy with lace.

Your Friday dream is like one I've had, except mine involves a high school algebra final (and I haven't been to class all semester), a forgotten schedule, misplaced locker, and an elusive locker combination. Thirty years later and I'm still worried. Nothing like knitting to calm my fears.

Lookin' good! If the sweater sleeps under the quilt, it will continue to dream sweetly me thinks.

Hooray! Aren't you the finisher these days! I look forward to seeing you wearing it.

I was a little bit distracted by the beautiful looking red thing in the background. Don't tell me it's a quilt you've made?

two sweaters for the Rhinebeck...........two....

yo Rachel H. did you here that two Rhinebeck sweaters......two

So close! Go, Cassie, go!

Meanwhile I have a finger injury which may interfere with Rhinebeck sweaterage. But I'm knitting through the pain. ;-)

Very pretty. Can't wait to see it finished.

I'm so glad to see this coming along! It's too beautiful a sweater (and too close to being finished) to languish indefinitely!

Ooh! Exciting. And it's looking very beautiful.

Oh, Cassie, how delightful! I know you've got to be thrilled to be so near completion. That is going to be a drop-dead gorgeous sweater.

My goddess, it's a sweater. A real live sweater.
And it does look unbelievably soft and lucious. Me wanna touch.
