*has heebie jeebies* However, the more I'm exposed to pics that aren't scary, the better I'm handling them. Spiders still freak me out like whoa though. Happy Monday!

Very cool.
Still hard core on the weaving, huh?

And how long did you watch her spin and weave?

You are SO lucky. I'd love to have a spider that big take up residence on my balcony. We rather like them around here, and my daughter has long conversations with them. She likes to introduce them as her "new friends." I suppose I should worry, but it's too endearing (and frankly, I talk to them too).

I love the trio of thicker strands that seem to be holding up most of the weight.
And I wish I could weave as well as she does. And that my weaving could feed me.

Our spiders are in full bloom right now. Hordes of miniscule babies dropping from the ceiling. Outside, webs with 15-foot support lines (strong enough to stop a person -- whap!) and 3-foot-wide concentric circles, shrubs covered in hammock-like webs... Haven't seen any wolf spiders yet this season, but am being very careful -- they are nasty!

I forgot to ask--do you already have the book Cardweaving (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0934026610/sr=8-10/qid=1153849058/ref=pd_bbs_10/102-9874352-9963355?ie=UTF8)?
